Alum Mountain - Bulahdelah
Alum Mountain dominates the Myall River floodplain. It is significant to the local Worimi who call it Bulla Della, meaning 'the Great Rock'. It is a volcanic extrusion, later named after a rare alunite deposit was discovered there in the late 1800s and subsequently mined until 1952. In 1917, this alunite deposit was reported as one of only three deposits in Australia and the largest in the world. Other features include an Aboriginal scatter site, scarred trees, old tramway, boiler wall and clay brick crucible. Galleries in the Garden
Galleries in the Gardens Inc. is a non-profit community collective of artists from Tea Gardens, Hawks Nest & the Myall River region. Artists’ works (painting, sculpture, photography) can be seen & bought at the Gallery & in a number of local businesses. Visitors can also spot art installations, from murals to sculptures to mosaics & poems along the Myall River Art Walk. Jump on the beach bus as part of the local guided tour@

We are privileged to be operating in the Myall Lakes National Park - Worimi Country which offers great walking, swimming and cultural insights.
Myall Lakes National Park features one of the State’s largest coastal lake systems. The park also boasts more than 40kms of beaches that offer some good swimming and surfing spots.
Our tours stop at the famous 'Hole in the Wall' picnic area for stunning coastal views, ideal for dolphins & whale watching.
We also take time to check out the Grandis; a 76 metre high flooded gum that is one of the tallest trees in the state.
